On Friday, November 30, 2013 a bicyclist died after he collided with a pickup truck. The accident happened at multi-intersection of Grand and 19th Avenues and McDowell Road around 9:10 p.m.
Witnesses told police the bicyclist was riding southbound on the sidewalk of 19th Avenue and attempted to cross the intersection of Grand Avenue at McDowell Road against the red light. The bicyclist was looking west when he collided into an oncoming pickup truck.
The bicyclist, later identified as 53-year-old Stephen Dolan Price was transported to a local hospital where he died. It was noted that Price was not wearing any protective gear, had no lighting or reflectors. There were no charges filed against the driver of the truck.
