Wednesday night a three-year-old boy died after his stroller was hit by a truck in Phoenix near 20th Street and Camelback Road.
Police advise that a family was crossing Camelback at the crosswalk when a truck turning left on 20th Street hitting the stroller and dragging it several feet. The boy's 9-year-old sister was pushing the stroller when it was hit.
A doctor driving by stopped to help. The doctor and fire crews both performed CPR but were unsuccessful. The child was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where he later died. The boy's family was uninjured. The driver of the truck is being questioned by the police. Police are also planning to review security footage from the nearby banks to determine if the driver ran a light or was somehow distracted at the time of the accident.
